I art directed, designed, and maintained a lot of creative for the multiple loyalty and rewards programs under Samsung Electronics America.
With a fast-paced and constantly evolving digital environment, my team and I were always exploring new and exciting ways to keep Samsung and their devices/technology relevant and on top of the industry.
SAMSUNG + LYFT
One of Samsung Reward’s most recent and exciting partnerships in 2019/2020 was with Lyft!
To kick it all off and showcase the news, we created banners and co-branded promotional assets to showcase across all of their service platforms that took users to a microsite. From there they can learn everything they need to know and easily link their Lyft and Samsung Rewards accounts to start earning and use their points for rides.
We worked on a series of different digital content, both illustrations and lifestyle images, that showcased all of Lyft’s services and newer features they offered (like bikes and scooters).
I also helped create promotional assets like shirts, posters, hand-outs, and a co-branded instant win game for their 2019 Developers Conference.
BANNERS, ARTICLES, AND MICROSITES
To help keep Samsung owners knowledgable and invested in their products and devices, my team helped create daily sponsored promotional content amongst their main apps and platforms.
The main goal was to keep consumers coming back daily and learning helpful information like fitness tips, earning rewards points to spend on products, ways to save money and earn cash back using Samsung Pay, and also a lot of general helpful information on tips and tricks they may not know that their phone can do.
These are a few examples of banners and sites I created and maintained for Samsung Health, Pay, Rewards, and Galaxy Store to help drive more involvement and interaction with them.
Samsung + BCRF - Breast Cancer Awareness Themes
For breast cancer awareness month, Samsung partnered with non-profit group The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Through this exciting opportunity my team and I created custom themes to be sold on the Galaxy Themes marketplace. All proceeds went to the BCRF, and also helped spread awareness to people and show their support to a great cause.
While working with them to come up with great ideas that represented the foundation, we wanted to focus on something that represented the face of their company and research they funded, but without actually attaching it to a specific person or celebrity. One key quote I enjoyed from their meetings and material they provided us was “Research is the reason”, and that was the motivational drive I wanted to focus on to bring more attention to the science and research side of breast cancer, and celebrate how far we have came because of it.

Among different ways to track your daily activities like steps, sleep, and calorie intake, Samsung Health also offers their services to allow space for other health related brands to market their products and apps.
I helped design the co-partnership creative (usually articles and microsites) and handled feedback and creative solutions between the partner brands and Samsung, always trying to find that balance to keep both sides satisfied with what they requested.
