My GM Rewards Card 2.0 Relaunch

ROLES: Art Direction / Digital Design / UIUX

Together with Marcus by Goldman Sachs and Mastercard, GM is introducing the all-new, revamped My GM Rewards Card. With that new partnership came a new and exciting branded look and feel for the card and GM’s car divisions, with a bigger focus on showing A New Kind of Appreciation to their loyal customers through the card and rewards that come with it.

The Power of Appreciation
In-Dealer Videos

To help promote the new divisional cards, their value, and overall appreciation that comes with them we created specifically branded videos to share in the GM dealerships. My role in this was working with the Rewards team and storyboarding out the specific spots for the main cross-branded card. Eventually we got to shooting these on a set, where I worked with the Rewards team’s Art Directors and Copywriters for the cross-branded content, and some of the Buick related card spot as well.

Overall, the Rewards team helped direct and create 20 spots for this launch in a very short period of time.

The Power of Appreciation
Pinterest Ads

One of our first big awareness campaigns for the Rewards 2.0 launch started with conceptual ideas to promote on Pinterest. We were tasked with creating 9 themed ads under Pinterest’s most popular searched categories: DIY, Finance, and Traveling. Each category had to have a static, motion, and story ad to help promote the cross divisional rewards card.

The biggest challenge with these ads was trying to trick the viewer into seeing something fun and interesting before they realize it’s a credit card ad, and keep scrolling past it.
