Events for Visit Detroit
Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with Visit Detroit, and getting out to photograph events for them throughout the city. The authentic excitement and awareness they bring to Detroit has always made it inspiring and energizing, and their site and social media is full of great information on experiences and things to do here!

more fun Detroit events
Outside of photographing events for Visit Detroit in the past, there have been many other great community ran festivals throughout the city. Here are some of many from the past few years.
Dally in the Alley
One of Detroit's largest annual community festival located in Cass Corridor! The entire event is organized and executed by community volunteers, and offers an eclectic lineup of live music, visual arts, performances, food and beer, and crafts for sale.
Marche du Nain Rouge
Every March around the Equinox, thousands of revelers gather for a parade through Midtown Detroit to celebrate their city. They wear grand costumes, build spectacular floats, roll out marching bands and krewes representing all corners of the city. Will the Nain Rouge — Detroit’s legendary harbinger of doom — appear at the Marche du Nain Rouge, armed with witty barbs and a half-baked scheme to take Detroiters down a notch? Come to the parade and find out!
Marche du Nain Rouge is a nonprofit run primarily by volunteers.
